The 2010 Case Nere brings together a named La Morra vineyard and the mature expression of Nebbiolo. With bottle age, the emphasis moves toward savoury detail and texture alongside the grape's persistent tannin and acidity.

Fratelli Casetta is based in Vezza d'Alba in the Roero, where the family traces its local roots to 1725. Its range spans the Langhe and Roero, with Nebbiolo central to its Barolo and Barbaresco wines.
The producer describes traditional maturation of its great reds in oak casks in the underground cellar, allowing the wines to develop before bottling.
Casetta identifies Case Nere as a southeast-facing, 3.45-hectare Nebbiolo vineyard in La Morra. The site combines grey-blue marl, clay and fine sand, providing a specific vineyard identity within the wider Barolo landscape.
Truffle pasta, mushroom risotto, gently braised beef or mature hard cheese.
Serve around 16–18°C. Stand the bottle upright before opening; pour gently and use a slow decant only if sediment requires it.
